Air Force veteran’s Hollywood home receives marvelous makeover

HOLLYWOOD, Florida. – A local military veteran receives a well-deserved gift.

U.S. Air Force Veteran Michelle Dingee’s home has been completely remodeled and will be featured on Military Makeover with Montel Williams, and she’s just so grateful.

“My heart fell out of my stomach, it was absolutely amazing, beautiful,” she said.

Dingee, who bought her house in 2019, initially thought she would get a new roof and air conditioning, but when she stepped inside, she got an even bigger surprise.

“It’s just a quiet, beautiful environment,” she said. “It’s very cozy, very inviting, so I’m looking forward to spending the rest of my time here.”

Dingee joined the military in 2000 right after graduating from high school.

She spent 14 years as a combat medic in the Air Force.

During her assignment in Ramstein, Germany, she was used to care for members of the military who were wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Her career took its toll and she sought treatment for PTSD and anxiety.

“Seeing some of these military personnel, men and women, didn’t go home to their families was really hard,” she said.

The host of the show, Montel Williams, said this project was an emotional project for him, it was a way to thank all brave men and women for their service and sacrifices.

“It almost brings a tear to my eyes when I know we did something to bring joy to those who are the least of us who have done the most for all of us,” said Williams.
