Atmos Energy to perform routine natural gas maintenance || Content sponsored by Quality Roofing

Atmos Energy will conduct routine maintenance work leading to the safe removal of natural gas on Wednesday March 17th and will last from approximately 7:00 am to 6:00 pm on Gordon Country Club Road south of Old Bonham Road in Paris. Atmos Energy continues to focus on its vision to be the safest natural gas service provider, and this system modernization work shows that it continues to invest in safety, innovation, environmental sustainability and our communities.

Atmos Energy is committed to protecting and preserving the environment. This process is a necessary, safe and industry standard practice for extracting natural gas from an insulated section of pipeline. Residents of the area can hear a noise and the smell of mercaptan, a harmless odorant that gives natural gas its “rotten egg” smell, may be present during the operation.

Atmos Energy customers will not experience any business interruption while the work is being carried out. City workers, officials, 9-1-1 operators and emergency responders have been made aware of this.
