As Vice President of Anchor Leasing, Vetzner, together with Bayer Co-President Libby Lassiter, will add further big box and food-anchored centers to the Bayer portfolio.

“While COVID-19 certainly accelerated the decline of many retailers, those in the big box sector continue to thrive. especially in the discounted goods category. I am delighted to be joining the Bayer team of all-star leasing professionals and developing an innovative approach to anchor leasing, ”said Vetzner.

Vetzner joined Bayer after six years at the Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT), where he led the big box and outparcel leasing efforts for a 22 million square meter portfolio. During his time at PREIT, Vetzner successfully leased more than 1.3 million square meters, including eight redeveloped Sears, Macy’s and JCPenney anchor stores.

Prior to PREIT, he worked with three regional and national retailers ranging from 25,000 to 40,000 square feet.
