Bayer Properties has appointed Lindsay Vetzner, Vice President of Anchor Leasing, to oversee the leasing and development of big boxes across Bayer’s 10 million square meter portfolio. Vetzner will be based in Bayer’s Mid-Atlantic Philadelphia office and move to Senior Vice President of National Key Accounts Nikki Columbo as the company focuses on expanding its executive team and expanding its national presence.

As Vice President of Anchor Leasing, Vetzner, together with Bayer Co-President Libby Lassiter, will add further big box and food-anchored centers to the Bayer portfolio.

Vetzner joined Bayer after six years at the Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT), where he led the big box and outparcel leasing efforts for a 22 million square meter portfolio. During his time at PREIT, Vetzner successfully leased more than 1.3 million square meters, including eight redeveloped Sears, Macy’s and JCPenney anchor stores.
Prior to PREIT, he worked with three regional and national retailers ranging from 25,000 to 40,000 square feet. Additionally, Vetzner’s retail real estate career spanned coast-to-coast assignments ranging from vertical projects in Bronx, New York to months of evaluating the Southern California mall landscape.
