Brown Harris Stevens Launches “Curate” Pre-Market Home Improvement Service

NEW YORK, December 8, 2020 / PRNewswire / – Brown Harris StevensBrown Harris Stevens, one of the largest private real estate agents in the country, announces the launch of Curate by Brown Harris Stevens, a pre-market home improvement and staging service. The Curate program enables homeowners to make cosmetic and renovation upgrades before listing their properties through an approved list of qualified vendors with no upfront, expense, and interest costs. The program is designed to help sellers reach the full potential of their home and maximize sales value.

In addition, Brown Harris Stevens will also provide access to a Bridge Loan program, which provides short term financing to help homeowners purchase a new home while they wait for their current home to sell. Together, Curate and Bridge Loans will help create a more seamless buying and selling experience and expand the growing range of business development services for agents that are now offered at BHS.

“We are excited to offer our customers new options to prepare for buying or selling a home, especially in this incredibly challenging climate,” he said Bess Freedman, THE PRESIDENT. “With Curate and Bridge Loans, a seller can renovate their existing home and secure funding for a new home without worrying about the burden of immediate costs. This will change the way we do business for the better.”

After listing at Brown Harris Stevens, each Curate seller receives a design consultation to help determine the budget and what improvements the property will benefit from. A special project coordinator connects the seller with a pre-qualified list of verified providers in order to carry out services such as staging, fault clearance, packaging, plumbing, roof / pool repairs, painting and landscaping. There are no upfront costs associated with the curate service. Payment to the seller is on hold until completion. There is no minimum price for properties eligible for Curate by Brown Harris Stevens.

Brown Harris Stevens’ Curate is also available to buyers looking to customize and upgrade their future home.
