Darlington roofing company failed to give information to police

A roofing company was billed a large bill for failing to provide information to the police.

Foster and Sons of Darlington was fined for failing to give police information to identify a driver.

Foster and Sons, of Harrowgate Village, have to pay a total of £ 836 after failing to attend a hearing in Peterlee Magistrates’ Court Thursday.

It relates to an incident in Spennymoor, County Durham on April 15th.

The company was accused of not providing any information to identify the driver of an Opel vehicle who is said to have committed a criminal offense.

No one from the company attended the trial and the case was proven in his absence on Thursday, October 21.

The Peterlee-based judges fined £ 660 and ordered Foster and Sons to pay costs of £ 110 and £ 66, which will be used to fund victim services.

The company has until November 18th to pay £ 836.
