Ernie’s Yard – A new open air multi-purpose events for London launches this summer

Located in a former scrapyard in the East End of Canning Town, built from reused shipping containers, it covers an area of 12,000 square feet with a license until 11pm. Ernie’s Yard will host some of London’s most beloved promoters for the first few weeks of opening, creating a rare place to meet friends, grab food and dance all day. Work on the website will begin just before it opens on June 25th. The tickets will go on sale shortly. Until then, subscribe to the mailing list HERE. See pictures HERE.

With multiple areas there will be stacked shipping containers creating an enclosed double height clubbing space and balcony divided into cubicles overlooking the dance floor. The other has yet to be determined while street food retailers will be represented in the grocery section. More will be announced shortly.

All areas have been designed with the spirited UK weather in mind so events can be held year round. There are stretch tents and clear roofs on the entire site.

Ernie’s Yard will host several 12-hour open-air dance parties this summer, perfectly co-ordinated with the much-touted Summer of Love 2021. In the opening weeks, those looking for tickets can expect events from Secretsundaze, Syzygy, Percolate, Art of Dark, Feelings Worldwide, Goodlife, Adonis, Warm Up and more.

Stuart Glen, co-founder of Ernie’s Yard, says, “In 2019 we passed a huge street restaurant made from shipping containers and decided to have a beer. When we entered, the bartender explained that the lease had been signed on site. I immediately thought this structure would be great for a party, maybe I can buy it and find some land to move it around. Two weeks later we had agreed to buy it, leave bail, and three months to seal the deal on the land I was looking for. To make it short. Two locations failed and we’ve been juggling for two years where nineteen 40-foot shipping containers are to be placed. It was a tough situation to say the least, but somehow we managed to win some favors. We met an East End legend named Ernie, and Bob is your father’s brother – ‘Ernie’s Yard’ was born – a murderous new day room for London. “

Ernie’s Yard is behind an old Russian steam room that is guarded by a goat supposedly named Vladamir. It will be a new exciting place designed and executed by an award-winning team with a proven track record of outstanding events and impeccable DIY get-go
