GAF Names John Altmeyer Executive Chairman, GAF Commercial Roofing

GAF, a Standard Industries company and North America’s largest roof manufacturer, today announced the appointment of John Altmeyer as Executive Chairman of GAF Commercial Roofing effective February 1st. Altmeyer was previously President of Carlisle Construction Materials for 21 years, which he grew to be the largest and most profitable of Carlisle’s operating units.

In this new role, Altmeyer will develop and lead a multi-year strategy that aims to make GAF number one in the commercial roofing market. Altmeyer reports directly to David Winter and David Millstone, Co-CEOs of Standard Industries.
