The National Roofing Contractors Association announced that IB Roof Systems Inc., Grapevine, Texas, has joined the NRCA One Voice initiative as a partner member.
In 2017, NRCA launched its One Voice initiative to unite the umbrella industry and speak with one voice on matters critical to the continued success of the umbrella industry.
To ensure that all industries are given the opportunity to participate, NRCA has amended its articles of association so that manufacturers, distributors, architects, engineers and consultants who choose to participate can become full members of the association, which means that they are granted voting rights and they are entitled to lead roles within the association. Previously, these rights were reserved for members of the contractor only.
“NRCA’s One Voice initiative offers the umbrella industry a unique opportunity to address the key issues we are facing,” said Reid Ribble, CEO of NRCA. “However, our work can only be done with commitments from executives in all areas of this great industry. Only together as roofers can we pursue this transformational approach in order to address our problems and concerns and to be successful in the future. “
“IB Roof Systems is honored to become a One Voice member and to work with the distinguished members of this great association,” said Jason Stanley, CEO of IB Roof Systems. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to address and manage the problems our industry is facing today and those that can influence our dreams of a better future.”
Problems currently affecting the umbrella industry include labor development and certification; Further development of the industry’s political agenda; Building codes and insurance; and increasing professionalism across the industry.
