Olympic boxing 67 seconds – Sella’s dream ends in no time

Eldric Sella made an arduous journey to get to Tokyo and spent years imagining himself throwing punches in the Olympic boxing ring, but when his gaming experience finally became a reality on Monday it was only 67 seconds. As a representative of the Middleweight Refugee Olympiad, the Venezuelan native Sella met Euri Cedeno from the Dominican Republic in his opening match, but found himself on the ground after a few seconds. He got up in time to survive the umpire’s count, but a minute had passed when another powerful push from Cedeno hit his face and froze him for a second.
