Omaha roofing company out of business, loses accreditation

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – 6 News just learned that an Omaha-based roofing company should now be considered out of business by the Better Business Bureau.

WOWT’s Mike McKnight reported a few weeks ago that Xcel Roofing was charging thousands of dollars from some of its customers. The BBB says its owner has authorized it to refer problems to his credit and debt counseling firm.

The office has canceled the accreditation for Xcel.

“The company and its local banking team continue to evaluate how best to meet the needs of its current customers. That is the current sole focus. It has ceased future operations for the time being. At this point in time, the company has not yet made a decision whether it is planning to reopen in the near future. “
