West Palm Beach Residents Encouraged To Apply For County’s Emergency Repair Program

August 31, 2020

West Palm Beach County, a partner with the City of West Palm Beach, recently launched its Coronavirus Relief Fund program, which sets up the county’s Emergency Repair Program (ERP). This offering helps eligible homeowners directly affected by COVID-19 who need financial assistance with home repairs. As residents of the county, West Palm Beach households are encouraged to submit their applications if they meet the stated criteria.

The ERP is granted as a grant that can only be used for emergency repairs such as installing, repairing or replacing roofs, hurricane shutters, and heating, ventilation and / or air conditioning. The applications are reviewed and approved using approved criteria. These include:

  • Income Eligibility
  • The residence must be self-used
  • Eligible repairs cannot exceed the maximum assistance limit of $ 50,000
  • The property must be in Palm Beach County

All applications are processed according to availability. The online application is expected to be posted on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. and is available on the county’s Ministry of Housing and Economic Sustainability website: http://pbcgov.com/hes.
